The new township officer and the Electricity Supply Board of Kengtung has issued order all meter boxes kept indoors must now be kept outdoors. Service for moving each meter box is K15,000 ($18.75). They are also offering a new special powerline that will supply electricity 24-hours at K40,000 ($50) per month. “The new township officer comes with a new way to fill his pockets,” remarks a Kengtung native.(from Shan Herald Agency for news)
